Sensex up by 200 Points, Stocks to Buy and Sell Today on 08 October 2013

The Market opened on a strong note boosted by banking stocks on Tuesday, The Sensex is up 186.96 points or 0.94% at 20082.06 and the nifty is up 55.35 points or 0.94% at 5961.50.


Asian shares extended recent declines Tuesday, tracking Monday's losses on Wall Street, as a US government shutdown dragged into its second week and concerns of a potential debt default grow. China's Shanghai Composite shed 0.39 percent or 8.43 points at 2,166.23. Japan's Nikkei fell 0.32 percent or 44.70 points at 13,808.62. 



Singapore's Straits Times was flat at 3,135.27. South Korea's Seoul Composite slipped 0.48 percent or 9.60 points at 1,984.82. 


Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted was down 0.22 percent or 18.12 points at 8,315.54. Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 0.23 percent or 52.98 points at 23,026.93.
