Nifty and Sensex Closing Today with Top NSE/BSE Gainers and Losers


The Sensex today ended up 130.55 points to end at 21164.52. 

The Nifty closed at 6299.15, up 47.45 points on the October series expiry day. About 1306 shares advanced, 1157 shares declined, and 176 shares were unchanged.  It is highest closing level in three years.

Bank Nifty closed up 2 percent from previous close. It was all in all a day for the state-run banks as Bank Of Baroda, Bank of India and Union Bank saw asset quality stabilise in the September quarter. Oil & gas and metals too joined the party, but pharma stocks were under selling pressure.
