Asian equity markets were mostly lower in cautious trade on
Tuesday ahead of key central bank statements in the region. China's Shanghai
Composite slipped 0.96 percent or 20.67 points at 2,128.97.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng shed 0.87 percent or 201.19 points at
22,988.43.
South Korea's Seoul Composite declined 0.32 percent or 6.54
points at 2,018.63.
Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted fell 0.30 percent or 24.82 points
at 8,329.32.
Japan's Nikkei was flat at 14,199.09. Singapore's Straits
Times was up 0.13 percent or 4.21 points at 3,208.15.
